About the instructor

Martin Turgeon is certified by the International Bike Fitters Institute and the International School of Cycling Optimisation, in addition to holding other specific certifications such as Retul. You may know Martin from his  Le Coin du Geek capsules, where he debunks the science of cycling and the myths that surround it. He constantly has his nose in scientific research publications and doesn't hesitate to take various training courses in order to expand his field of expertise to the maximum. He has nearly 20 years of experience in the bicycle industry, working as a coach, mechanic and bike fitting specialist. His approach as a fitter is based on scientific rigor, global understanding and evolution.

Prerequisite : Mechanic Level 1 or relevant experience. The participant must be able to perform the following manipulations: 

  • Installation and adjustment of a handlebar and stem
  • Installation and adjustment of a saddle and a seatpost
  • Tightening with a torque wrench to a defined torque
  • Remove and replace a rear wheel
  • Minor adjustments to derailleurs

Minimum age: 14 years old
Duration: 14 hours 
Dates: December 6-7, 2021 from 9AM to 5PM
